L’evoluzione ha giocato uno scherzo crudele alle persone: si sono trasformate in creature senza sesso e senza volto della stessa altezza, senza capelli e voce, mangiano cibo liquido che viene iniettato direttamente in vena. Praticamente prive di qualsiasi emozione, vivono e lavorano secondo determinati segnali, non producono nulla, ma si limitano a disporre dei beni acquisiti negli anni dalle generazioni precedenti, ricevendo energia e cibo. Ma un piccolo dispositivo elettronico funzionante, trovato a caso, mostra una serie di immagini della vita luminosa e varia dei loro lontani antenati restituendo il desiderio di libertà e originalità.
Evolution played a cruel joke on people: they turned into sexless and faceless creatures of the same height, without hair and voice, and eat liquid food, which is injected directly into a vein. Virtually devoid of any emotions, they live and work according to certain signals, do not produce anything, but simply dispose of property acquired over the years by previous generations, receiving energy and food. But a randomly found working tablet showed a picture of the bright and varied life of their distant ancestors and made them return the desire for freedom and originality.

The animated film is based on the story of the same name by V. Shukshin. Summer, heat, village, harvest time. Misha is a track driver, disappears in the fields for weeks – he drives grain from far villages. Yenya has missed him, she craves love and attention. But Misha is preoccupied with the challenge of fixing the car. His curious mind won’t let him relax in the arms of his lover until he finds out why the carburetor is making those noises. Also, the dark summer night is really beautiful.
