Sinossi / Synopsis
Il film parla di una giovane ragazza che sta imparando a fare i conti con alcuni pensieri inopportuni; il tipo di pensieri che tutti prima o poi facciamo, come quello di pugnalare qualcuno con una forchetta, o l’ impulso di saltare giù da un posto molto alto. La protagonista, Layla, combatte quotidianamente con questi pensieri, spaventata dalla sua possibile capacità di fare del male.

‘Don’t Think of a Pink Elephant’ is about a teenage girl learning to cope with intrusive thoughts; the kind of thoughts we all experience, like the thought of stabbing someone with a fork, or the urge to jump from a high place. The main character, Layla, fights daily against these thoughts, terrified by her potential to do harm.

SURAYA RAJA
Biografia / Biography:
Suraya Raja è animatrice e regista, diplomata alla National Film and Television School dove ha conseguito una laurea specialistica in Direzione dell’Animazione. I suoi film raccontano storie sull’assurdità del comportamento umano, l’interiore e il tragicomico, influenzata anche dal suo precedente lavoro nel campo della psicologia e delle questioni sociali, oltre che dalla sua osservazione quotidiana del comportamento umano.

Suraya Raja is an animator and director, and a graduate of the National Film and Television School, where she completed an MA in Animation Direction. Her films tell stories of the absurdity of human behavior, the internal and the tragicomic, influenced by her previous work in psychology and social issues, and also by her day-to-day observations of human behavior.
