Sinossi / Synopsis
Le nuvole, un campo, l’acqua di un canale, un anziano che torna a casa. Il tempo scorre piano nella campagna veneta di Angelo e Gabriella. E’ maggio e, come molti altri in paese, si adoperano per accogliere la processione delle Rogazioni, con cui si affida a Dio il territorio e coloro che vi abitano. Preparano ciò di cui hanno bisogno per chiedere la protezione dalle calamità naturali che potrebbero, come già accaduto in passato, colpire il paese.

The clouds, a field, the water of a channel, an old man going back home. Time goes by very slowly in Angelo and Gabriella’s Venetian countryside. It’s May and, like the other villagers, they strive for the Rogazioni Procession, in which people entrust God of their territory and its inhabitants. They prepare what they need to ask protection against the natural disasters that could – as it has happened before  – hit the town

MICHELE SAMMARCO
Biografia / Biography:
Nato e cresciuto in provincia di Padova. Vive a Milano. Attualmente è al terzo anno del corso in Regia Cinematografica presso la Civica Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti di Milano. Laureato in Arti Visive e dello Spettacolo, facoltà Design e Arti, Università IUAV di Venezia con una tesi su percorsi e confronti tra cinema e arte contemporanea, ha parallelamente seguito corsi singoli presso l’Università Ca Foscari di Venezia. Appassionato di opere ibride ai confini tra le arti e cinema documentario.

Born and raised in Padua’s province, in 1991. Currently lives in Milan. At the moment he is attending his third year at Civic School of Cinema “Luchino Visconti”, in Milan, studying Film Direction. He has a degree in Visual Arts and Drama, from the faculty of Arts and Designe at the IUAV of Venice with a thesis on paths and comparisons between cinema and contemporary art. At the same time he has attended single courses at Ca’Foscari University in Venice. Interested in hybrids between arts and documentaries.
