IL FESTIVAL 
UN MARCHIO DI SUCCESSO PER UN FESTIVAL DELLA COMUNITA’
Il Lucania Film Festival è il primo festival internazionale di Cinema nato in Basilicata che si svolge ogni anno a Pisticci – Matera nel mese di agosto. E’ un progetto di promozione, diffusione, formazione cinematografica, che intende promuovere la conoscenza e la fruizione dell’audiovisivo in tutte le sue forme. Nei suoi 25 anni di storia il LFF è cresciuto enormemente, meritandosi una importante collocazione artistica e sociale nello scenario internazionale dei festival di Cinema. Festival “delle persone e dei luoghi”, il LFF si connota per l’atmosfera intima e confidenziale tra il pubblico e gli addetti ai lavori che, ogni anno, da tutto il mondo giungono nelle sale cinematografiche a cielo aperto di Pisticci, negli spazi attrezzati del CineParco Tilt. Sul piano cinematografico il Festival è riconosciuto per l’altissima qualità delle migliaia di opere cinematografiche di provenienza nazionale ed internazionale.

IL FESTIVAL DELLE PERSONE E DEI LUOGHI e CINEPERIFERIA
Come recita il brand il LFF è “un Festival delle persone e dei luoghi”, un progetto di comunità che pratica il coinvolgimento di tutti i principali attori comunitari. E i luoghi ogni anno, nel cuore dell’estate lucana, si trasformano nelle sale cinematografiche a cielo aperto dove va in onda la magia del cinema, in un’atmosfera unica e familiare considerata uno dei principali elementi di originalità e dunque il tratto che distingue il LFF dagli altri Festival nazionali ed internazionali. Questa atmosfera si compone di una serie di elementi molto riconosciuti presso l’audience tra cui la facilità di accesso, la prossimità con registi e attori, l’alta frequentazione di giovani e bambini. Ciò attribuisce al LFF una funzione divulgativa e didattica, che riesce ad avvicinare al cinema anche un pubblico di non addetti i lavori rivelandosi come un’occasione unica di allargamento degli orizzonti culturali per la comunità locale e di contatto con mondi e culture altre, anche lontane. Per questo motivo, ai suoi fruitori, il LFF è un’esperienza di benessere che regala la possibilità di trascorrere un soggiorno culturale in un territorio capace di mettere a disposizione una ricchissima offerta turistica in un mix vincente di evento culturale, eno-gastronomia, arte, storia, svago, ambiente e territorio. Dal 2016 il LFF si svolge nella CinePeriferia presso il CineParco Tilt.

IL CINEMA COME OPPORTUNITA’ DI SVILUPPO
Uno degli obiettivi del LFF è aumentare le presenze degli ospiti, non solo nei giorni dell’evento, ma durante tutto l’anno, grazie alle numerose attività che si realizzano all’interno di TILT, centro per la Creatività regionale di Pisticci, gestito proprio dalla factory-LFF: formazione cinematografica con le scuole; corsi di cinema in autofinanziamento; progetti di promozione trans-disciplinare: cinema e letteratura, cinema e cibo, cinema e marketing culturale, ecc. Tutto ciò fa del LFF una sintesi riuscita di due dei settori in forte crescita in Basilicata, ovvero il turismo culturale e, soprattutto, il cinema come industria con grosse possibilità di sviluppo e in forte espansione in regione. A SUCCESSFUL BRAND FOR A COMMUNITY FESTIVAL
The Lucania Film Festival is the first international film festival born in Basilicata, held every year in Pisticci – Matera in August. It’s a project for the promotion, dissemination, and education of cinema, aiming to promote the knowledge and enjoyment of audiovisual media in all its forms. In its 25 years of history, the LFF has grown enormously, earning itself an important artistic and social position in the international cinema festival scene. As a “festival of people and places,” the LFF is characterized by an intimate and confidential atmosphere between the audience and industry professionals who come from all over the world to the open-air cinemas of Pisticci, in the equipped spaces of the CineParco Tilt. Cinematically, the festival is recognized for the extremely high quality of the thousands of national and international film works.

THE FESTIVAL OF PEOPLE AND PLACES and CINEPERIFERIA
As the brand states, the LFF is “a Festival of people and places,” a community project that involves all the main community actors. And every year, in the heart of the Lucanian summer, places transform into open-air cinemas where the magic of cinema unfolds, in a unique and familiar atmosphere considered one of the main elements of originality, thus distinguishing the LFF from other national and international festivals. This atmosphere consists of a series of elements well recognized by the audience, including easy access, proximity to directors and actors, and high attendance of young people and children. This gives the LFF a disseminating and educational function, which manages to bring even a non-expert audience closer to cinema, proving to be a unique opportunity for broadening the cultural horizons of the local community and connecting with other worlds and cultures, even distant ones. For this reason, to its attendees, the LFF is an experience of well-being that offers the possibility of spending a cultural stay in a territory capable of providing a rich tourist offer in a winning mix of cultural events, food and wine, art, history, entertainment, environment, and territory. Since 2016, the LFF has taken place in CinePeriferia at the CineParco Tilt.

CINEMA AS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR DEVELOPMENT
One of the objectives of the LFF is to increase the presence of guests, not only during the event days but throughout the year, thanks to the numerous activities carried out within TILT, the regional Creativity center of Pisticci, managed by the LFF factory itself: film education with schools; self-financed film courses; transdisciplinary promotion projects: cinema and literature, cinema and food, cinema and cultural marketing, etc. All this makes the LFF a successful synthesis of two of the sectors experiencing strong growth in Basilicata, namely cultural tourism and, above all, cinema as an industry with great development potential and strong expansion in the region. We are among the protagonists of the Matera – European Capital of Culture – 2019 process.
