Alejandro González Iñárritu si è imposto all’attenzione mondiale fin dal suo esordio: Amores perros, la sua opera prima, riceve subito la nomination agli Oscar come Miglior Film Straniero. Poi 21 grammi, Babel, Biutiful, Birdman, Revenant: i suoi film hanno sempre ottenuto candidature e premi a livello internazionale. Il suo è un cinema intenso fatto di personaggi tormentati, storie difficili narrate in modo complesso. Racconta la solitudine, il dolore, il decadimento interiore, la violenza, la vendetta, il senso di colpa, l’espiazione, la redenzione. Iñárritu ci mostra come gli individui si comportano quando sono spinti al limite, come affrontano la paura, la tragedia, la morte. Un’indagine profonda dell’essere umano, un viaggio ai confini dell’esistenza.
Proprio questa indagine è l’oggetto di studio del libro che, a sua volta, è un viaggio nei film del regista. Come scrive Fabio Morici all’inizio del libro: “Lo sguardo sui film andrà molto al di là dei film stessi. Lo scopo di questo libro non è studiare le opere da un punto di vista tecnico (non parlerò di luci, ottiche, dolly…), né sviscerare la struttura narrativa in senso stretto (non nominerò i tre atti, i turning point, l’arco di trasformazione…). Partirò dai film per spingermi il più lontano possibile, seguendo le connotazioni, le suggestioni, le riflessioni, gli echi, le risonanze e i riverberi che i film hanno evocato in me. Un viaggio ai confini del senso, tra letteratura, poesia, matematica, fisica, filosofia, metafisica. Perché i film di Iñárritu contengono tutte queste cose.”

Durante la presentazione verrà proiettato il corto Anna (2007), di A.G.Iñárritu.

Fabio Morici è un attore e autore attivo in diversi settori: cinema, tv, teatro, radio, web. Tra le sue pubblicazioni, il saggio La Sitcom (Gremese, 2010), il romanzo Appena il tempo di andar via (Albatros, 2013), il testo teatrale Nato in una notte di tempesta (Eranuova, 2014).

Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu made his mark in the world since its debut: Amores perros, his first work, immediately received a nomination for an Oscar for Best Foreign Film. Then 21 grams, Babel, Biutiful, Birdman, Revenant: his films have always got nominations and awards internationally. His cinema is intense and made of tormented characters, difficult stories narrated in a complex way. He recounts the loneliness, the pain, the inner decay, violence, revenge, guilt, atonement, redemption. Iñárritu shows us how people behave when they are pushed to the limit, as they face the fear, tragedy, death. A deep survey of the human being, a trip to the boundaries of existence.
Just this survey is the subject of the book study that, in turn, is a journey in the film by the director. As Fabio Morici writes at the beginning of the book: “The look on movies will go far beyond the movies themselves. The purpose of this book is not to study the works from a technical point of view (I will not speak of lights, lenses, dolly …), or dissect the narrative structure in the strict sense (I will not name the three acts, the turning point, the ‘arc processing …). I start from the movie and then I push as far as possible from them, following the connotations, suggestions, reflections, echoes, resonances and reverberations that movies evoke in me. A trip to the sense boundaries between literature, poetry, mathematics, physics, philosophy, metaphysics. Because Iñárritu’s movies contain all these things.”

During the presentation it will be screened the short Anna (2007), directed by A.G.Iñárritu.
