Sinossi / Synopsis
Lembranza  raccoglie i ricordi appartenuti alla storia di famiglia degli artisti e attraverso questa intimità  propone un saggio su tempo, memoria ed immagine. Le relazioni, i gesti e le condizioni danno forma ad una discussione essenziale sull’arte del cinema. Partendo dai frammenti trovati, recuperati e ricavati dai vecchi Super8, abbiamo sperimentato i principi dell’immagine interiore, quella costruita nella nostra conoscenza, le relazioni che l’ ”io”  costruisce con l’immagine filmica e come quella “verità” cinematografica ci porti più vicini alla realtà di un mondo tra passato, presente e futuro.

Lembranza” seizes the memories belonging to the family history of artists and builds on this intimacy to propose an essay about time, memory and the image. The relations, gestures and conditions shape an essential discussion about the art of cinema. Building on fragments found, recovered and rescued from old Super 8s, we tested the principles of the inner image, the one engraved in our conscience. The relations the “I” establishes with the filmic image and how that cinematographic “truth” takes us closer to the reality of a world between past, present and future.

ALBERTO DIAZ LOPEZ
Biografia / Biography:
Nato il 27 febbraio 1984 a Boveda (Lugo), in Spagna. Dopo essersi laureato in Comunicazione audiovisiva (2002 – 2007) alla Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid),  Al Diaz ha iniziato un Master Europeo di Cinema (2010). Al momento sta lavorando al suo dottorato in Cinema Digitale. Appassionato di Teoria Cinematografica e poetica, ha da sempre unito la sua ricerca accademica con il mondo professionale dell’immagine e del suono,  tirandone fuori diversi lavori audiovisivi. Ha svolto lavori di sceneggiatura, produzione e post produzione per la Mordisco Films, la compagnia cinematografica di cui è a capo.  Al momento è il direttore artistico e tecnico dell’ International Short Film Festival Yaq, che si svolge a Madrid.  Come produttore e direttore, ha ricevuto più di 600 candidature e vinto 125 premi internazionali.

Born on February 27th, 1984,  in Bóveda (Lugo), Spain. After graduating in Audiovisual Communication (2002-2007) at Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid), Al Díaz started a European Master’s Degree on Film Studies (2010). At the moment, he is working on his Ph-D on Digital Cinema. A passionate about film theory and  poetic  discourse, he has always combined  his  academic  research with the professional world of  image  and  sound,  carrying  out  different  audiovisual  works  in  which  he  simultaneously performed tasks of  script writing, production and post production for Mordisco Films, the film company he owns. He is currently the artistic and technical director of  the International Short Film Festival Yaq, which takes place in Madrid. He is, as well, producing the short film “Exhalación”, and finish his documentary “Lembranza”. As producer and director, it carries more than 600 selections and 125 international awards.
