SHORT FOR CAPITAL

Progettazione culturale europea, racconti di comunità, futuro. 

Partendo dalla designazione di Matera a Capitale Europea della Cultura 2019, il Lucania Film Festival inaugura una nuova finestra narrativa sull’Europa e invita le fondazioni e gli organismi internazionali che hanno candidato progetti e vinto il titolo di Capitale Europea della Cultura a partecipare al contest Short for Capital, per raccontare la loro esperienza e l’impatto generato nel contesto urbano e sul territorio di appartenenza.

Le opere selezionate saranno presentate alla 24a edizione del LFF che si terrà dal 7 al 13 agosto 2023.

Sono ammessi diversi generi (fiction, documentari, animazioni, ecc..).
Al centro del racconto la partecipazione di operatori, enti locali e cittadini e il coinvolgimento ottenuto in processi di co-creazione e co-progettazione con la comunità, la creazione di nuovi palinsesti culturali, di produzioni originali innovativi, di grandi spettacoli di musica e teatro, festival di approfondimento, cinema e film.

Dai temi identitari alla dimensione europea, dalle radici al futuro, il contest invita a raccontare le sfide vinte, i traguardi raggiunti e l’influenza generata post evento nell’ambito delle politiche culturali e di marketing territoriale delle città.

La sezione intende rafforzare ulteriormente i rapporti tra le Capitali ECOC creando opportunità per le comunità creative che animano la scena, raccontando i processi e gli obiettivi più intimi che stanno alla base delle candidature delle città.
I cortometraggi da presentare devono essere inviati entro il 05  agosto 2023

European cultural design, community stories, future.

Starting from the designation of Matera as the European Capital of Culture 2019, the Lucania Film Festival inaugurates a new narrative window on Europe and invites foundations and international organizations that have submitted projects and won the title of European Capital of Culture to participate in the Short for Capital contest, to tell their experience and the impact generated in the urban context and on the territory of belonging.

The selected works will be presented at the 24th edition of LFF, which will take place from August 7th to 13th, 2023.

Various genres are allowed (fiction, documentaries, animations, etc.). At the center of the story is the participation of operators, local authorities and citizens and the involvement obtained in co-creation and co-design processes with the community, the creation of new cultural schedules, innovative original productions, great music and theater performances, in-depth festivals, cinema, and film.

From identity themes to the European dimension, from roots to the future, the contest invites to tell the challenges won and the milestones achieved and the influence generated after the event in the field of cultural policies and territorial marketing of cities.

The section aims to further strengthen the relationships between the ECOC Capitals by creating opportunities for the creative communities that animate the scene, telling the processes and the most intimate objectives underlying the candidatures of the cities.

 

The short films  to be submitted must be sent by august 05th  2023

The project is managed by Allelammie and Euronet, who were already the project leader for Matera2019.
